The festival showcases scores of local restaurants selling tastes of their best dishes at “sample-size prices.” The Festival is designed to allow guests to stroll the avenue and enjoy tastes of sumptuous food from multiple restaurants. The restaurants will be competing for New Smyrna Beach’s “Best on the Beach” awards. The judges represent the local food industry and community stakeholders.
In addition to the food booths, the festival offers local artisans, multiple live entertainment areas, beer gardens, venders, sponsor displays and exhibits. Multiple blocks of Flagler Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic accommodate the festival. Entertainment locations include Flagler Tavern, Peanuts Restaurant and Sports Bar, Om Bar and Chill Lounge, Trader’s Pub, and Clancy’s Cantina.
Parking is plentiful throughout the Flagler Avenue arts-entertainment-shopping district on pocket parking lots, side streets and lots behind many of the businesses.
The New Smyrna Beach Food Festival is hosted by the Flagler Avenue Hospitality Group and the Flagler Merchants Association, and is sponsored by the New Smyrna Beach Visitors’ Center, The Waterfront Loop, New Smyrna Beach Chevy, New Smyrna Beach Chrysler, Rue and Ziffra, Hollywood Theaters, HGD Jewelers, Little Blog Dress, Orlando Sanford Airport and the Black Crow Event Group. The festival is one of a series held each year on Flagler Avenue including Cinco de Mayo, Shrimp and Seafood and Fat Tuesday on Flagler.
